| Family Based Immigrant Visa |
|
One of the most common ways to immigrate to the United States is via a family sponsor. This family sponsor can either be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident. There are four preference categories for limited family-based immigration:
The relative, either a U.S. Citizen or a LPR, first submits an immigrant visa petition, along with evidentiary support of the relationship with you. Once the petition is approved, the U.S. Department of State will determine whether a visa number is available for you. When your number is available, then the alien applies for their visa. The sponsor should be prepared to demonstrate family relations as well as financial support. The attorneys and staff of Sablatura Williams PLLC would be more than happy to assist you through this process, advocate your interests to the USCIS, and do what we can to bring you lawfully to the U.S. Please contact us for more information in Williamson, Travis or Hayes County, or Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander, Buda or Kyle, Texas. |
